A professional engineer with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Graz, Austria, he spent over 35 years in leading positions in research and development in the automotive industry in the US and abroad. A native German speaker, he also worked as a German/English technical translator for many years. His duties also include the development and management of Apex’s IT infrastructure, project management systems, and our corporate translation environment tools and linguistic databases, to assure an effective approach to project management, document management, and the management of linguistic resources.
Dr. Deltgen holds a Ph.D. from Cologne University, Germany, with a focus on comparative linguistics and anthropology. He is fluent in five languages and has a working knowledge in six more, including several non-European languages. Dr. Deltgen also pursued postgraduate studies in pharmacology and transcultural medicine, and received a post-doctoral degree of „Habilitation“ from the same university. After several years of lecturing and research, he shifted to the business sector and has served in executive positions over a period of 25 years for several international corporations, including leading translation and localization firms.
Ms. Koshkina, a passionate polyglot, was a professional translator and bilingual editor with Apex for 13 years. She holds a certificate in Russian Language from Lomonosov Moscow State University, a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from One World, a B.A. in Russian Culture from Carleton College, and an M.A. in Buddhism and Sanskrit from Naropa University.
Located in our office in Germany and Austria, Europe, Mr. Schlamadinger coordinates communication between our customers in the European Union and our offices in the US. Prior to joining Apex, Mr. Schlamadinger has been active in management functions and as consultant in the mining and construction equipment industry in Western & Eastern Europe, United States, as well as in the Middle East.
In addition to managing the day-to-day office management tasks, Ms. Harrison also functions as Project Manager for Apex Translations. Her duties include preparing proposals and interacting with our translators and our clients from around the globe. Ms. Harrison holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration.
Mr. Mitchell is a professional linguist with an MA in Technical Translation from the University of Applied Sciences in Zittau, Germany, where he also studied Business Economics and Management with an emphasis in Marketing. A native speaker of English, he is also fluent in German and Polish and is currently learning Russian and Italian. Before joining Apex, he worked throughout Europe and the US as a business consultant, language tutor, and as a translator/interpreter for over twenty years. He is also in charge of our quality database which captures all quality-related issues to facility correction action activities.
Ms. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Campbell University in Government with focus on pre-law. Prior to joining Apex, she has worked for two law firms as a paralegal/legal assistant. Her duties include preparing proposals and interacting with our translators and our clients from around the globe.
Ms. Huskins holds a Master of Arts in German Translation and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and German. Prior to starting with Apex, she worked as a freelance technical translator and technical writer for 20 years and in international adoptions for 7 years. She has also taught at several universities in Germany and the U.S. Her duties include preparing proposals and interacting with our clients and translators from around the world. She is also in charge of our “Knowledge Library”.
